Convertr Announces £3 Million Series A Funding Success

By Convertr - November 4, 2016

In order to drive our next stage of expansion, growing our client base and broaching new global markets, we have been seeking outside investment. As a result we are pleased to announce that our company has managed to secure £3M in Series A funding from the UK venture capital investor Albion Ventures.

As part of the arrangement, we are pleased to welcome Robert Whitby-Smith, one of the partners at Albion Ventures, who will be joining us on the board of Convertr. With a history of working with other tech specialists including adtech company Grapeshot and predictive analytics firm Black Swan, he will bring a depth of knowledge and experience to our operation joining CEO Emma Bowkett and CTO Clive Brett.

Albion Ventures is an established venture capital investor in the tech field. With around £455million in funds at their disposal, they have a long term record of backing change and driving business growth.

Emma gave the following statement to the press regarding the move:

“We are delighted to be working with Albion, at such an exciting time, and looking forward to the next phase of our company’s development, particularly with Robert’s expertise: he brings immense experience in investing in and working with the technology sector.”

She went on to add:

“We have already proven success at simplifying the marketing journey by integrating our technology, with clients such as Fiat and DWA, and this funding will enable us to build on and expand our offering to a wider international market.”

Robert Whitby-Smith, investment director and partner at Albion Ventures commented on their new partner:

“We look forward to working with Emma and the Convertr team. This is an exciting company, with an outstanding team and high profile customers in a high growth market. Convertr’s emergence as a next generation digital hub that delivers tangible ROI comes at a time when the marketing sector is actively seeking efficient and transparent technologies”.

We believe this is the next vital step in taking Convertr Media forward in fulfilling our potential to serve a larger client base with effective customer acquisition systems with the power to streamline their operations. As business increasingly becomes a combination of technology and contact, we believe we are in the optimum position to capitalise on coming opportunities.
